Leeds Autism Services offers direct support to autistic adults in the Leeds area and promotes wider understanding and acceptance of neurodivergent people.

Challenge

Leeds Autism Services (LAS) were facing challenges in meeting fundraising goals due to the lack of dedicated fundraising staff. They wanted to diversify their funding streams and attract sponsors for their annual conference, Autisticon. Lacking the time, expertise and resources to reach corporate decision-makers, they turned to Matchstick for support.


Solution

Matchstick designed and delivered highly personalised email campaigns targeting senior Marketing and HR leaders in Leeds-based businesses. Each contact received tailored messaging highlighting the mutual value of partnering with LAS, along with an invitation to Autisticon 2025. Because corporate partnerships are built on trust and time, Matchstick's aim was to drive interest and open meaningful conversations, laying the groundwork for long-term relationships.


Result

Average response rate across 3 months was 15% (42% positive) which generated 14 conversations with businesses including Deloitte UK, DLA Piper, Leeds Building Society, Aire Logic, and Hippo Digital. LAS were invited to participate in national research on neurodiversity and received new inquiries for their business consultancy and trainings, with more opportunities in the pipeline including event support and Charity of the Year nominations.
