Home-Start Worldwide (HSW) is a membership organisation providing support and strategic leadership to a global network of Home-Starts (family support charities) across 20 countries.
Challenge
To strengthen impact at scale, HSW needed better ways to connect their international network — sharing knowledge, aligning standards, and improving access to support.
To achieve this, they set out to build partnerships with tech companies that could offer not only funding, but also tools, research, and expertise. But with no corporate outreach experience and limited internal capacity, they didn’t know where to start.
Solution
Matchstick supported HSW in identifying the right audiences, crafting compelling messaging, and building confidence in approaching businesses. Alongside strategic support, our team also directly delivered 3 months of low-volume, high-quality outreach campaign targeting mission-aligned UK and international tech companies.
Result
Matchstick campaigns introduced HSW to several potential corporate partners, including Midwich (annual revenue: $1.81B), Yondr Group ($59.6M), and No Isolation ($7.5M) — each offering different forms of support, including digital infrastructure, shared research priorities, and Charity of the Year nomination.
Beyond opening doors to new sources of support, the organisation gained clarity and confidence in how to engage the corporate sector, with better understanding of who to approach, what to offer, and how to build commercial relationships moving forward.
