Home-Start Camden & Islington (HSC&I) offers free, confidential support and practical help to struggling families with young children in the London Boroughs of Camden and Islington.
Challenge
HSC&I were looking to attract corporate sponsors to diversify their funding streams and move away from a reliance on trusts and foundations. Corporate cash donations are typically relationship-based, so the goal of this project was to make strategic introductions and get new businesses involved in the charity's work, laying the foundations for long-term partnerships.
Solution
Matchstick delivered personalised email campaigns targeting partners and CSR directors in local law firms. Each contact received custom messaging detailing the benefits of partnering with HSC&I along with a personalised video and an invitation to the charity's Impact Report Launch event.
Result
Average response rate was at a staggering 25% with 12 meetings booked with firms such as Stephenson Harwood (1300+ employees), Macfarlanes (900+), Cripps (500+), Pennington's (880+) and others. The initial arrangements included financial pledges, employee volunteering, food and gift purchases, with more opportunities in the pipeline including Charity of the Year nominations.
